LED backlight classification one: side light type.
A backlight made of a linear or point-like light source set on the side of a specially designed light guide plate. According to the needs of actual use, it can be made into bilateral or even three-sided.
1, LED light backlight.
LED lights are also known as light-emitting diodes, and the power consumption of a single LED lamp is minimal. From blue to red, LED lights come in many colors. In various colors, it can be roughly divided into two kinds of high-light and low-light. Since white is a mixed color, there is no identifiable wavelength value, so it is represented by its coordinate value on the chrominance diagram. We customize the "cold white" and "warm white" two. In a variety of colors, there are color deviation problems, especially white, LED suppliers can not effectively control it.
2, CCFL backlight.
The biggest advantage of this backlight is its high brightness, so it is basically used in black and white negative phase, blue mode negative phase and color liquid crystal display devices with a large area. In theory, it can make a variety of colors according to the color matching principle of the three primary colors. The disadvantage is that the power consumption is large, the inverter circuit is also needed to drive, and the operating temperature is narrow, between 0 and 60 degrees, while other backlights such as LED can reach between -20 and 70.
LED backlight classification two: bottom backlight type.
Is a flat surface light source with a certain structure, can be a continuous uniform surface light source, such as EL or flat fluorescent lamp; It can also be composed of a more point light source, such as dot matrix LED or incandescent backlight. LED lattice and EL backlight are commonly used.
1. EL backlight. Electroluminescence is a cold light source that emits light by the intrinsic luminescence of phosphor under the excitation of alternating electric field. Its biggest advantage is thin, can be 0.2~0.6mm thickness. The disadvantage is that the brightness is low, the life is short (generally 3000~5000 hours), the inverter drive is required, and the interference of the circuit will cause flashing, noise and other bad.
2, LED backlight. The advantages are good brightness and good uniformity. The disadvantage is that the thickness is large (greater than 4.0mm), the number of leds used is large, and the heating phenomenon is obvious. Generally, low-light colors are used for design, while high-light colors are basically not considered due to high cost. WA products are Weizhi backlight.
