Working principle: The digital tube is a semiconductor light-emitting device, and its basic unit is a light-emitting diode. Can display 4 digits called four digit digital tube, of course, there are many and only one digit digital tube, their electrical principle is the same.
The digital tube is divided into seven digital tubes and eight digital tubes according to the number of segments, and the eight digital tubes have one more light-emitting diode unit (one more decimal point display) than the seven digital tubes.
According to the connection mode of light-emitting diode unit, it is divided into common anode nixie and common cathode nixie. Common positive digital tube refers to the digital tube that connects the anodes of all light-emitting diodes together to form a common anode (COM).
When the common anode digital tube is applied, the common pole COM should be connected to +5V, and when the cathode of a field LED is low current, the corresponding field will be lit. When the cathode of a field is high voltage, the corresponding field is not bright. A common cathode digital tube is a digital tube that connects the cathodes of all light-emitting diodes together to form a common cathode (COM).
When the common cathode digital tube is applied, the common pole COM should be connected to the ground wire GND, and when the anode of a field LED is high current, the corresponding field will be lit. When the anode of a field is low current level, the corresponding field is not bright.
