1.Working principle of eight-segment digital tube The eight-segment digital tube consists of 8 light-emitting diodes (LEDs), which can display the 10 numbers 0 to 9 and the letters A to F. Different numbers and letters have different lighting combinations. Specifically, the 8 LEDs of each digital tube represent a small segment on the digital tube. When the small segment needs to be displayed, the corresponding LED lights up, otherwise it goes out. For example, to display the number 4, two small segments need to be lit, and the corresponding LEDs will be connected to the current. The working principle of the eight-segment digital tube is relatively simple. You only need to light up the LED corresponding to the number to be displayed. 2. Display principle of eight-segment digital tube The principle of eight-segment digital tube displaying numbers is very simple, that is, converting the numbers to be displayed into the light-on state according to the corresponding coding method. The commonly used coding methods are: BCD code (8421 code): convert a decimal number into binary, and then use 4 bits of binary to represent a decimal number. Each 4-bit binary code finally obtained can correspond to a decimal number or a letter display; Gray code: only one binary number is changed each time, which can avoid errors in the transition process. It is suitable for digital counters and digital angle meters and other occasions with high requirements; Reverse code: similar to Gray code, only one bit is changed each time, but except for the highest bit, all other bits are different. It is suitable for occasions such as LCD displays that require high-precision display. The eight-segment digital tube converts numbers or letters into the corresponding light-on state according to the coding method, realizing the display of numbers. However, it should be noted that since the digital tube can only display numbers and some letters, other display components may be required when other characters need to be displayed.
